July 2010:

  • My article about the Sydney Writers' Festival was published in the Blue Pencil of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Listened to Peter FitzSimons, who spoke about his new book, A Simpler Time, at Stanton Library

  • Joined the announcement / media conference re the HMB Endeavour to sail around Australia from 2011 to 2012

  • Joined a meeting of the Human Awareness Institute

  • Went to an Eckart Tolle meeting

  • Joined the committee meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Had a great time in South Australia (photos, article)

August 2010:

  • Listened to Emili Rosales (Destino) and Wenona Byrne (A&U) at the "Publishing Universe" event, Instituto Cervantes

  • Attended the "The Future is Now: eBooks and Bookselling in Australia" seminar of the Australian Booksellers' Association

  • Listened to Mary Delahunty (Public life, private grief) at Stanton Library

  • Attended an InterNations event

  • Voted for the first time in Australia

  • Joined a gallery opening of the Australian Bookbinders' Association

  • First meeting of the ASA Social Club

  • Joined a meeting of the "Living Truth" group

  • Joined the committee meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Saw Jessica Watson at Writers at Stanton

  • Went to a get-together of the Human Awareness Institute

  • Joined the FCA AGM

  • Listened to Elizabeth Weiß from Allen & Unwin, who spoke about eBooks at the meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Listened to the panel of The Centre for Independent Studies about the "Future of Europe"

September 2010:

  • Stanton Library: An artist's life

  • Joined the committee meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Started Zumba

  • Went to Stanton Library to listen to the stories of two undercover cops

  • Attended the Brisbane Writers' Festival; spoke with bestselling author Jostein Gaarder (Sophie's World)
