• Attended Peter FitzSimons's Eureka book event at Hornsby Library

• Taught "Write, Publish & Market Your Own Book" at Mosman Community College (Saturday classes, Term 4)

• Attended media tour on the cruise ship Oosterdam at Circular Quay

• My photos of Kevin Rudd's address to the FCA are published on the FCA website

• Attended Laura Antoniou's erotic writing course "Words That Sizzle. Stories That Sell"

• Attended FCA event with the former PM and Foreign Minister the Hon Kevin Rudd MP (photos)

• Taught "Write, Publish & Market Your Own Book" at my first writing retreat (Pittwater YHA, 28.09.–01.10.2012)

November 2012:

• • Completed 50,000 words for the National Novel Writing Month (posted news about my progress on Twitter and Facebook)

  • Joined FCA trip to Canberra, for meetings with Bob Carr, Julie Bishop and others (photos)

  • Allan Hickey's autobiography, For What It's Worth, is now available on Amazon ($25). I assisted Allan with his book.

  • Attended the Woollahra Library's Local Writers' Word Festival, incl. Patti Miller's workshop about memoir writing

  • Attended Jane Caro's "The Writing Process" event at Chatswood Library

  • Attended Society of Women Writers (NSW) committee meeting and Alice Award event

  • Attended meeting of the Fellowship of Australian Writers

December 2012:

• • My article about the FCA's trip to Canberra appeared on the FCA's website.

  • Travelled from Sydney to Perth by train (Indian–Pacific) and up to Broome by bus

  • Attended Christmas luncheon of the Society of Women Writers (NSW)

  • Attended Rudolf Steiner College Festival

  • Attended book launch of Mosman Meanders by my former MCC student Claire Mitchell and co-tutor, Christopher Maait, at Mosman Art Gallery
