October 2010:

  • Listened to Jennifer Byrne (First Tuesday Book Club) at Stanton Library

  • Started teaching "Write, Publish & Market Your Own Book" at Mosman Community College (Term 4, 2010)

  • Joined the committee meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Listened to Hugh Mackay at Stanton Library about his new book, What Makes Us Tick?

November 2010:

  • Listened to Laurie Oakes at Stanton Library

  • Listened to George Negus at Stanton Library

  • Completed teaching "Write, Publish & Market Your Own Book" at Mosman Community College (Term 4, 2010)

  • Joined the meeting of the sub-committee of the Society of Editors (NSW) to create a new website

  • Listened to Peter Lloyd at Stanton Library about his work as a journo and about being in a Singapore prison on drug charges

  • Participated in the meeting of the Northern Beaches Writers' Group in Manly

  • Joined the committee meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Started a blog about blogging and writing

  • Participated in the Editing Intensive course of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • Listened to Susan Wyndham from The Sydney Morning Herald, who spoke about "the near-death of the literary editor" at the meeting of the Society of Editors (NSW)

  • My article about the Brisbane Writers' Festival was published in the Blue Pencil of the Society of Editors (NSW)

December 2010:

  • Organised a Christmas lunch for local members of the Australian Society of Authors in Neutral Bay

  • Attended the Christmas party of the Mosman Community College

  • Joined a book launch: From Migrant to Citizen at The Sydney Institute

  • Joined the meeting of the Northern Beaches Writers' Group and their Christmas lunch

  • Listened to the Hon Dr Craig Emerson MP, Alex Thursby and Prof. Anwarul Hoda at the Lowy Institute about "The Future of Trade Policy in an Uncertain World"

  • Attended the FCA luncheon with Cate Blanchett, Patrick McIntyre and Andrew Upton from the Sydney Theatre Company

  • Enjoyed the Winter dinner of the Society of Editors (NSW) at The Red Snail

  • Attended the launch of "The Stakeholder Spectrum: China and the United Nations" at the Lowy Institute

  • Joined the FCA's Christmas dinner

  • Listened to the APA's editorial panel "Don't Stet: Thinking about tomorrow"
